CaLoSiL® micro

Calcium hydroxide micro-particles

Properties
CaLoSiL® micro is characterised by properties wihich are between the nano-sols (CaLoSiL® E, IP or NP) and conventional lime hydrate supsensions. It contains lime hydrate (Ca(OH)2) parti-cles having sizes between 1 and 3 μm, which are dispersed in ethanol. The calcium hydroxide concentration is 120 g/L.

Applications
CaLoSiL® micro is a specially designed and produced calcium hydroxide suspension for the strengthening of stone, mortar and plaster. It is used for the consolidation of detached sur-faces as well as for filling of coarse cracks, openings and joints.
The suspension has to be stirred before using. The application is possibly by injection or spray-ing. The addition of stone flour (for example marble, limestone) allows the preparation of special injection grouts and repair mortars. CaLoSiL® micro can be mixed with all products of the CaLoSiL® family. Systems are obtained with well-defined particles size distributions.

Packaging
CaLoSiL® micro is available in 500 mL and 1 L and 5 L.

Storage
CaLoSiL® micro has to be stored between +5 °C and +30 °C. In unopened, original contain-ers, storage for at least one year is possible. Settled particles can be re-dispersed by shaking the closed bottle or by ultrasonic treatment. The original properties of CaLoSiL® micro remain unaffected.

Safety
CaLoSiL® micro is flammable/combustible. Keep away from oxidisers, heat, sparks and flames. Avoid spilling, skin and eye contact. Ventilate well, avoid breathing vapours. CaLoSiL® micro is strongly alkaline. Do not smoke. Keep container closed. Wash thoroughly after handling. Keep away from sources of ignition. Please store in a cool and dry place in a tightly closed container. Further information concerning safety during transport, storage and handling as well as for disposal and ecology can be found in our latest Material Safety Data Sheet.

Before using in large scale we recommend to treat a small test field area with CaLoSiL® micro in order to find out the most favourable application method and the required volumes of CaLoSiL® micro.
